This sounds like something you'd see in a Spiderman or Batman movie ... a guy falls 39 stories, 490 feet onto a car during a suicide attempt, smashing through it into it's back seat, completely totaling it, and 'walks' away with only 2 broken legs.

To put this into perspective, 490 feet is exactly twice as high as the Golden Gate Bridge's deck that suicide jumper's have a 98% fatality rate on. Water itself becomes as 'hard' as concrete when you fall onto it from that height .. so imagine how the back of a car must feel from twice as high. Hell, I fall off my computer chair from accidentally leaning back too far and I get up complaining that I hurt my elbow.

It is my firm belief, that they need to lock this guy up in some laboratory, and study him like a lab monkey. If we could create a race of super-humans that can reliably jump almost 500 feet onto a car, or other surface equally as hard, and only break a couple of bones, imagine the possibilities! And trust me, NO ONE will want to engage the U.S. in war with a breed of soldiers like that!

Holy crap that guy is lucky! He needs to run out and buy a lotto ticket. I agree we to make that boy a lab rat and find out what makes him a super-human.

Oh this story gets better the lady whos car he hit is just a we bit pissed. Instead of saying wow I'm glad he is alive and I'm glad I have insurance she kinda went off

The New York Post wrote:

Dodge Charger owner upset vehicle crushed by suicidal fall

Her car was crushed -- and so is she. A New Jersey woman is devastated that her precious sports car -- just repaired and fully gassed up -- was wrecked by a suicidal man's 40-story attempted death leap on the Upper West Side. "I miss it. It's my baby," moaned Maria McCormack, who regrets lending her husband the 2008 Dodge Charger Tuesday for work. "I want to meet [Tom Magill] and say, 'Why? Why my car out of all the cars in the city?'"

McCormack's husband, Guy, had the $14,000 muscle car parked behind 75 West End Ave. when Magill soared from 400 feet and landed on the rear windshield and trunk. The vehicle broke his 126-mph fall and likely saved his life -- but it killed the car, which was so extensively damaged that the insurance company will total it out.

"I wonder how he feels now that he made it. Does he feel like an idiot?" said Maria. "I hope he's OK. But I just want to know why."

The 42-year-old mother of four from Old Bridge recently spent hundreds of dollars fixing the rear brakes -- and she says she got an oil change and filled it with gas just the day before the blazing red car was crushed like a tomato can. "I was going to get the front brakes done . . . but thank God I had a migraine!" she said. "I can't believe my car is gone. "I've had other cars, but I really loved this car."

Maria said it was just the second time she allowed Guy to borrow the car -- and the first time, a parking attendant damaged it. "It's not Murphy's law, it's McCormack's law," she said, referring to her husband's bad karma.

Guy McCormack, 40, was far more merciful -- agreeing to pony up the $500 insurance deductible. "Geico said I could sue him . . . but I'm not going to do that. He has enough to worry about," said the construction worker. "It's a very small price to pay."

Wooooow is all I can say ...

That woman sounds like a real piece of work. She's all about her. Me me me. You'd think a mother of 4 kids, who looks through the wonder and curiosity of children's eyes at the world everyday, would have a bit more of an appreciation and value for life, and feel much more compassion than that.

She's complaining about having a headache and not getting some other people to work on her brakes for her, while her arse busting construction working husband, who most likely brings home the bacon for this stay-at-home mom, who most likely spends her days watching the neighbors finding new things to complain about, about them, and then posting her whining on her facebook statuses. "My arsehole neighbors! They better not cut down their tree! It'll let too much sun onto my tomato plants and dry them up!" "OMG, my next door neighbor better stop parking his car in his grass, it's gonna bring down the property value of my house!". I can only imagine the torture that husband of hers must have to live with.

I read that her husband ran out, saw what happened, reached inside his car for the Rosary Beads hanging from his rear-view mirror and yelled "This is what saved him!". I bet he prays to those nightly before bed to have his marriage end soon in divorce, and she doesn't get half! Laughing

Oh well, "The Golden Rule", "Karma" ... however ya want to phrase it, will hopefully give it back to her sometime. Maybe one day when she's so despondant that she tries to take her own life, someone will ask her if she feels like an idiot for failing the attempt, and even get mad at her for ruining something of theirs in the process.

I feel bad for the suicidal guy for at least one reason .. not only did he think his life sucked already, but now he's gonna also have to fork over another 14K to pay for their car. Either way, she can easily ask him if he feels like an idiot now: here's his facebook page: Clicky

AMEN Brother! Atleast the media had jumped on how cold the woman is. I first saw this on The Today Show were they were talking about how cold hearted she is. Maybe the fan hate mail will let her feel some karma
