OK my one son thinks this is the greatest thing. He has the pogoplup app on his ipod touch and is watching movies on it from the PogoPlug here.

Now when I want to share something I simply click on the file or drive (you can choose what you would like to share), enter their email addy and it sends them a email. In the email it contains the URL the just simply save and it gets them right in. Here is a example (hyperlink removed) that I sent myself at work to access it:

They click on the view it now and they are in. When I give them access I can choose what kinda access they get - download only or full access. They can also share files back with me. From signing in from the web here is how they see it. On the seagate I only have two files on it - Games and Music.

For the most part the transfer rate isn't too bad - it depends on my connection mainly. If I'm downloading, seeding torrents and my kids are all home online and should my one son be online gaming then the rates are that of a turtle.
