These are, in my humble opinion, a few of the best (free) iPhone apps.
1.
Shazam- Aside from my love of saying- "I dunno, let me Shazam it!", this app is on a pretty serious level of awesomeness. Have you ever heard a song on the radio, in a movie, while sitting at your fav restaurant, and thought to yourself- "Wow I
that song! I wonder what it's called."? Well, with this uber cool baby you can find out! You just have to be somewhat near a speaker and just sit and watch as Shazam listens, sends, analyzes, and then gives you the song title & artists. You can even download from iTunes, watch a YouTube video, or read up on the biography/discography of the band, right from the search results.
2.
Google Earth- A mobile version of one of Google's greatest ideas ever.
3.
Pandora- Stream music to your iPhone using this uber cool baby. Type in a song name and/or artist and Pandora creates a customized radio "station" that includes the artist/song you looked up, and music that's similar to it.
4.
Stanza- Connects you to online libraries where you can download free books, or purchase them. You can then read at your pace even when not connected to the web.
5.
5800 Drinks & Cocktail Recipes- Need I say more?
6.
Weather Channel- Yes the iPhone comes with it's own weather tool but, ya can't beat the Weather Channel.
7.
Flashlight- This fills up a dark space with white (or whatever color you choose) light. It's handy when it's dark out and you're trying to unlock your front or car door...
8.
Around Me- For those times when you're looking for a place to eat, drink, nap (hotel), buy food, watch a movie, etc. Type in your location and this app searches for nearby places where you can do that stuff.
9.
Tap Tap Revenge2- It's an addictive little game.
10.
Art Gallery- If you love art this is a sweet app. Browse fine paintings, sculptors, etc. If you upgrade to Art Gallery Premium (it's not free) you can get rid of the ads which is the only annoying part about this app.
There are more and also tons of great paid ones as well. And for all the social network lovers, of course there's the Facebook app, Twitter app, etc.
There is also a cool public radio app that lets you listen to your local or national public radio.
do you know the name of the app? and yes, yes download Shazam. it's soooo awesome. it never fails to get a- "wow" out of someone who's never used or heard of it.
"Most everyone's mad here.

"You may have noticed that I'm not all there myself."

WOW!!! This is so much fun. 10 songs down and it has called them all right, no matter how abstract. *am amused*
yay seeeee? it's app-tastic! now, mind you, if there is too much background noise, or you're too far away from the speakers, you won't get a result. but hey, come on. it tries it's very best *lol*

I <3 Pandora! Best app ever!
I also use TWC, and Tap Tap. Shazam sounds awesome. *goes download it*
I always keep Solitare on my iPhone, as well as scribble for drawing on my pictures. I also keep the USA Today app to stay up with the news in the world.
