ok so im faced with not so important dilema but a dilema just the same. i have had several pens. nice expensive ones go missing from my desk. only to be spotted days or weeks later on someone elses desk. i feel like i should say something ...not rude or confrontational....but what? or say anything? part of me feels like just letting it go. its just a pen after all. any advice?
Just snatch em back when they aren't looking. If they say something, let them know it was yours to begin with.
Oh I agree snag away and hey help yourself to a good or too from their desk. I USE to have nice pens but now I just have the nice generic ones from Office Depot (that write nicely). It is a pain in the butt when your stuff goes missing so now if they take it I just go get another one.
One idea is what I had done with a pen gift set for my husband last year. He wanted a new nice pen because his always went missing and so, I had his initials engraved. Only cost $5.00 and it looked really nice
But, what to do about the already missing (recently found) pen? I'd probably find a reason to go to their desk and then announce OH! there it is.. I have been looking all over for that, it was a gift from my sister/brother/grandmother and as you walk away with it.. say thank you thank you thank you grasping it tightly to your chest.
but then again, I am a bit dramatic
they all know im dramatic and querky too so i love that idea!
The other suggestion is great too love it!
yep, agreeing with this..... and then hide it somewhere off your desk......or Green's suggestion is also pretty good too.
thanks guys!
I'm pretty crazy about my pens and pencils at work. If I come back to my desk and one of them is gone I immediately yell out "Who took my pen?" People are kind of used to it now. I never loose a pen. I use it till it runs out of ink. If I see my pen I just go get it. If that person has a problem with it they can get effed. Find their own dang pen. If it's not your's don't take it. Easy enough.
