With the Holidays around the corner I wanted to make sure I posted this in hopes that parents don't run into the mess that I ran into last year. If you buy a game that is a "Steam" or Value Game" then you need to FIRST be aware of what will interfere with the game what programs will.

Ok why am I So against "Steam" and "Value" games? Well if their one Steam Support page doesn't scare you:

Programs Which May Interfere with Steam then maybe this page will scare you:

Troubleshooting Network Connectivity

So after your finished freaking out that they want you to turn off your anti-virus program and your firewall you then find them asking you to change the ports in your router and re-configure it. Wait there is more, here is the list of programs that have been known to give the game issues. Take special note to the one with the " * " because that means you can't just disable the program but you need to remove it from the pc.

i don't understand why would you have to disable or un-install those programs? are these online playing games where you play other gamers? i would be made if i purchased one of those games. i mean once you open it then its yours for good and there is no way i would change my computer around for a game. i'll have to show this to the bf since he plays computer games.
