New Orange County law bans sex offenders from Halloween activities

2 replies [Last post]

Effective last week any registered sex offender residing in Orange County who's crimes were against young children have been banned from participating in Halloween actvities.

The new law:

• Require sex offenders to post a sign on their residences stating that no candy or treats are available.

• All exterior lights of their homes must remain off during the Halloween evening.

• Sex offenders are not allowed to decorate their residences with Halloween decorations.

The Halloween law is the first of its kind in Orange County and carries with it a penalty of up to $1000 and/or a year in jail.
I say its about time but others I have heard think that this law is a waste of time and money. You can read more about it here. What do you think?

I totally agree, hopefully other states will follow. Halloween is a perfect time for them to prey on the innocent.
