Sonic Boom, their new album, hit Walmart (exclusively) stores on October 6th- just three days ago! This is the first album they've released in over a decade!
For only $12 you can buy the 3-pack: their new album, a cd of their greatest hits, and a live DVD.
They'll also be touring again!!
I haven't gotten the album yet but here's a review (usa today) and another (la times)-- i have read many other reviews and the consensus seems to be that it's Awesome and FUN!!
I saw them in concert a while ago in Illinois with Aerosmith. Aerosmith's concert was actually pretty lame, but KISS was AMAZING!

They've been through here a few times and I wasn't even interested enough to go see them.
If one of those shows was the one i went to, you missed a damn good concert.

Single & Not Looking
From ages ~5-~10 I was a huuuuge kiss fan, back when no one had seen their real faces yet, and it was all a big game and mystery. They'd put out pics in magazines of them covering up all of thier face except maybe their un-makeup'd eyes, and it was extra cool. Kiss Alive 2 started my obsession. Came with a bunch of replica stick-on tattoo's that matched all of the band's tattoo's that I'd walk around in thinking I was cool. Then I had to get every single Kiss album there was, and listen non-stop on my actual record player. I would've killed to get to see them in concert.
Then they went through the 80's, took off their makeup, made some seriously generic sounding, crappy songs, and I totally lost any kind of interest in them. Who'd be paying any attention to Kiss when Guns N Roses is around?
Nowadays, eh, the obsession is long gone. They've been through here a few times and I wasn't even interested enough to go see them.
