So have you noticed anything new on your profile tonight? Well all of a sudden this popped up telling me which of my friends are online at the time:

See this isn't something I really want. First of all my computer stays on 24/7 so I would always stay online. That is what I need is some relative IMing me and when I don't reply for hours think that I'm just being rude. So how to shut this off or to show offline? Well go to your lower right hand side of your screen and mark your chat as "offline"

Once you do this you will no longer show online. The only down side is now you don't get to see who is online.
