So the person who is responsible for the Lockerbie plane bombing in 1988 has been freed from prison on "compassionate grounds". He has prostate cancer so they're allowing him to go home to his family so he can die with "dignity". Ok, I'm sorry but I think theres something wrong with this picture. This guy decides that hes going to end the lives of 270 people but yet he gets to spend his dying days with his family? What do you think? Did they do the right thing in allowing him to return to his family based upon his illness or should he have been left to die alone in a Scottish prison?

Lockerbie bomber flies home to a hero's welcome
The Lockerbie bomber tonight landed in Libya to a hero's welcome as thousands greeted him at the airport waving flags and posters.
Hours after leaving jail, Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi boarded a plane back to his homeland.
His release prompted a furious reaction from America with Barack Obama branding it a mistake.
How great would it have been if there were someone on his plane home that bombed it ...

It is also reported that he will get a heroes welcome when he gets back home - I find that disgusting. Shame on Scotland (and I'm Scottish). Obviously the the judges who released him didn't have any compassion with the families that lost loved ones.
