OK check out the video of Katy Perry and Elmo on Seasame Street singing "Hot and Cold"

The whole gripe is that she shows a little to much cleavage that has set some parents out protesting and with that this video will not be on Seasame Street. So what do you think is this over the top?

My opinion is ok give me a break have these parents checked out Miss Piggy...

I don't have any kids, and it's rare that I would take the conservative side like this, especially with boobies involved, but I remember being a little boy and I *know* what I and all my guy friends would've been thinking and saying after that skit. Hell, I used to love it when my mom used to take me through the womens bra and underwear sections at stores just so I could get a look at all those girls wearing them on the labels. Wink

In a case like an ELMO skit, I suppose it really wouldn't be THAT hard to throw on a regular shirt, would it? ROFL . There's plenty of years left later in their lives to see boobies. All I know is Jr. is lucky to have MissB as a mom! Devil

First of all her boobs are COVERED, and there really is no cleavage, i've seen bigger cleavage on 14 yr old girls. They are not "bouncing" all over the place (cos they're too small), seriously what is the big deal?? Taking your child to the beach is more "traumatizing" if you will, chicks going around in thong bikini's, some of which have nooo business wearing them, bra's that barely cover DD size boobs, old men wearing speedo's. Parents need to lighten up a little, making a big deal out of nothing just makes kids more curious about stuff. Rolling Eyes

Miss piggy is a fictional character. Huge difference there.

As time has gone by the tv has slowly progressed into allowing children to be exposed to things they really are not ready for. On a related issue There is talk about giving kindergardeners sex ed. We all remember how inappropriate that would have been for us when we were children so what makes it okay now for our children to be exposed.?At this rate parents will laugh and think its funny when we are doing our 15 year old sons laundry and a condom falls out of his pocket. A good parent would pull that kid aside and warn him about the consequences of his actions unless that parent wants to become a grandparent in their late 30's. Smart moms and dads out there know exactly what Im saying.

To a 3, or 4 yr old Miss Piggy is as real as it gets, they don't exactly know the difference, so to me there's no real difference. Sex ed for Kindergarteners ? I agree that's ridiculous and inappropriate and doubt if it will ever come to pass. I've had the talk with my son (and continue to) about sex and the consequences of it and he's aware of all that can happen. There's nothing in the video in question that is inappropriate, do you think the kids watching it were concentrating on Katy's boobs (or lack thereof) or the actually fun she was having with Elmo. I know parents that leave their Victoria's Secret mags lying around, those models are provactive and inappropriate for young eyes, still they see no harm in that. And these are probably some of the parents that would protest against this video.
