Well maybe not iron- At the International Food Machinery and Technology Expo in Tokyo, many prototype robo-chefs could be watched demonstrating their cooking abilities. Seems that in Japan many of the younger generation aren't interested in cooking or domestically oriented jobs. This is a bit of a problem as Japan has "one of the world's fastest aging societies". Seems experts feel that robots can be the solution in the caring of the older generations.
As of now, Japan is robot haven to almost half the world's robots. Hopes seem to be that, in the future, all families will have their own personal Rosie to help around the house. I have always been, and continue to be, of the opinion that while robots can be pretty darn cool, I probably wouldn't want one "living" under the same roof as me. They can have cooking mishaps too couldn't they? I don't know. Maybe I've just seen The Terminator one time too many. Better safe than sorry I say. More on the story here.
I'll drink to that, when I grow up!
We all know men have no shame at all, but I wonder how the ladies would feel about waking up next to the terminator in the morning?
Hey if it does laundry and cleans bathrooms then I would have no issues waking up next to it in the morning. Cooking - well yeah I can handle that.
Out of my mind
Yeah really didn't James Cameron and a whole bunch of other sci-fi heroes warn us about this stuff a million times already?
You know whats funny, I bet you that if robots ever become commonplace, the most popular thing they'll make them for is sex
