everytime i do this still nothing bc when i go to activate it in itunes after the restoring process is says we can not complete this activation now try another time or contact customer care well i did both still nothing. any help?
okie i really dunno what is up with my phone but 1. i dont have the funds to just up and by a new one so i REALLY need this to get fixed.
my 3g is jailbroken and while updateing cydia esstieanls it did the respring and went to boot back up and now its stuck on the apple logo. i have tried everything i can i have Downloaded almost everything i can find to get my phone to work . and NOTHING works. also when i tried to do the hard reset when it 1st happened i found that my power button does not work . i have tried pushing with alot of force on the corner and still nothing ....
Will iTunes recognize it? You might need to restore it and then rejailbreak it. If you have tried everything and nothing works it might be time to throw in the towel and just restore and then at least you get your phone back. Luckily with the 3G it will remain an option to jailbreak it no matter what.
no i tunes will not recognize it . i dont mind unjailbreaking it but i cant even restore it if itunes wont recognize it and i REALLY need my phone for work but right now just dont have the funds to spare to get a new phone
OK, I changed up my thought process. What you probably need is DFU mode. Then iTunes will see it and force you to restore it. But you will restore it using a custom firmware made with Sn0breeze.
- So to force your iPhone into DFU mode follow these instructions.
How To Enter DFU Mode Without Home Or Power Button Tutorial - I'm not familiar with the link they offer for firmware files so instead use this source:
Firmware files - So after downloading the ipsw make a copy and stick in in a folder on your desktop. Use Sn0wbreeze to make a custom firmware from this copy you made in the folder on your desktop. The original copy will get butchered in the instructions for getting you into DFU.

I assume you are using Windows. Once you have your custom ipsw and your iPhone is in DFU mode just go to iTunes and press and hold the Shift button while clicking restore. iTunes will ask you to browse to your ipsw. (if you're on a Mac it's Option + Restore) This is where you select the custom ipsw. If all goes well when it's done you should have a rejailbroken 3G. Just make sure you install SBSettings so you have a software power button.

Correct. SBSettings won't help till you can boot the iPhone.
OKIE i read the link u posted and it may just be me but i dunno if im understanding it. i need to download sn0wbreeze and do the re jailbreak and the firmware will get my phone from being unstuck on the apple logo im sorry if im asking alot its i just wanna make sure im doing everything right .
