Thank you Jayson, this is a life saver. I've lived whith the "dancing" cursor while typing, unable to disable the touch pad for years. What a God send!! All the best and thank you for sharing.

I was able to disable my sony vaio by pressing the function key and f1. You can enable the touch pad doing this as well.

hi,
I am using Vaio + Ubuntu, many times touchpad disables if i hold any part of my hand on touch pad for some time then again to enable it i have to logoff and login, does any one has solution to enable it without logoff??

Hey guys, I just upgraded to Windows 8, so the Sony/Vaio tools just DON'T WORK anymore on my PC. Yes, the Vaio tools are not supported by Windows 8 yet. Anyone in the same scenario? Tks

all you have to do is hold Fn and press F1...boom, mouse pad is off....do it again to turn it back on.
