Ok if you are looking to track a friend or non friend you can imbed a tracker in a myspace message. Now for this one I recomend using one like mixmap that you can set up a tracker just for this message alone, however any tracker will work (make sure its a invisable one). So how to use a tracker in a message with out getting caught or with less of a chance of getting caught.
Basically type out a message in general, be it whatever (don't send a message less one or you take a chance of getting caught). At the end of the picture add a photo. That way if they go to reply the code will be exposed however if there is a picture there they are less likely to figure out its a tracker and more likely to think nothing of it.
Now when you go to add the picture you will back to back it with the tracker so say I was to use this picture:
So the url for this picture is this: http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv287/fabulous_sarah/asmileforu.gif
so here is how you will add it with the tracker. For this example the picture code will be in blue and the tracker in red (and no that is not a working tracker)
<img src="http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv287/fabulous_sarah/asmileforu.gif"><img src=http://www.mixmap.com/XXXXX/no_image_tracker_strict.jpg border=0 height=1 width=1>
So your message would look something like this:
Subject: Hey
Body:
Hey whats up? Long time just thought I would check in with you...blah blah blah
<img src="http://i692.photobucket.com/albums/vv287/fabulous_sarah/asmileforu.gif"><img src=http://www.mixmap.com/XXXXX/no_image_tracker_strict.jpg border=0 height=1 width=1>
How ever they will see this:
Subject: Hey
Body:
Hey whats up? Long time just thought I would check in with you...blah blah blah
Hey oatmeal welcome to the drop
ok yes they have to open it. If your worried they wont the best and easiest way to get them to do this is simply create another myspace and send them a message that they will open out of curiosity. Make the subject line something like this:
then inside just put something stupid like "hello" then the pic. They will be clueless to who you are. Make your default something stupid that will make them want to look. If they wont look you can always try and snag one of their friends pics and use that as the default - then they will definitely look. Also every time they open it they will be tracked. It they read it 10 times you will track them 10 times
I remember trying to get this to work and I never could. Just for fun, I tried again right now with some random person that popped up under "browse friends". Although they read it, nothing was tracked. Hopefully you guys have more luck.
I got it to work a few times.
I Orbit I Orbit!
That is friggin ingenious. Does the person have to open the message in order for it to track them?
-if the answer is not known, feel free to message me with one on myspace, and see if it tracks me without me opening it.
