I made a video recording on my digital camera, it was recorded in a dim/dark setting and now when i look at it i cant really see anything because its too dark. Is there a way for me to brighten it up? It's a kodak digital 7.2 mega pixels if that makes a difference.

Many video editing programs out there will have a feature to allow you to adjust the brightness, contrast and other options. The one I like to use, after experimenting with many over the years is Adobe's Premiere Elements. In it's Edit tab there are "effects" that you add to your video. Adding the "Brightness & Contrast" effect will adjust the brightness globally across the entire video clip. Here's a quick screenshot:
