Just when you start to complain that video games are going up in price you need to think of this one.

The game in question is an ultra-rare, gold-colored version of Nintendo World Championships, a cartridge specially produced for use in a Nintendo-sponsored gaming contest. According to Wikipedia only 26 were created, and Hendricks calls it the "Holy Grail" of video game collectors.
But wait if gets better for the $17,500. what do you get *drum roll*.....you get 6 minutes and 21 seconds of game time - here are the games (snippets): Super Mario Bros., Tetris, and Rad Racer. Oh yeah he got a deal all right. Hummmm maybe I can sell him some of my old games
Ok you beat me on the atari but I do still have a working old Nintedo and about 40 games. The funny part is I have it in my house in NC. See I rent that house out when were not there so I left it in the game room (basement was turned into a game room). I figured if they kill it they kill it, now I'm rethinking that
. *calls Realtor to pull system*
They are still fun to play and hey better then what I had growing up
Does anyone remember the movie The Wizard? It's about a trip to a competition like this... Okay, I'm a nerd. Anyway, stuff always goes up when there are such a few made. Same with coins, comic books, etc.
I remember the wizard, thats the one with the kid from the wonder years aint it? I love how nintendo thought they would pull the wool over everyone's eyes and not mention the fact that it was an enormous 90+ minute plug for super mario 3
Tecmo bowl and tecmo super bowl were where it was at. I eventually got so good at those that it was impossible for me to lose, however beating up on the sad sack New England Patriots never quite lost all of its luster
Oh and that guy is a clown for paying that much money for a game, unless he's a millionaire or something

Yay! I'm not the only super nerd! Seeing pictures of the power glove still gives me giggles... Silly nintendo.

Yea, we all got that good at it too. You could make miracle passes to certain recievers, like Jerry Rice, or get a running back like Barry Sanders and run back and forth over the field 5 times with the entire team on your tail, but missing, until ya got tired of running and just ran the ball in for the TD.
But somehow it never got boring doing that.
Another game I used to love on SNES was NBA Jam.
yeah I loved how unfair it was. I liked Bo Jackson because he couldn't be tackled...
was that?!? seriously every time someone tried they would just fly right off him.
I liked NBA jam for a little while, especially the second one that had the rookie squad of 93 in it, you know Grant Hill and all them. I'm a huge basketball fan though and I always perfered the more sim type games for that, so I used to deal with Bull vs (insert losing team here) for the snes and genesis before they started coming out with live. Nowadays its strait nba2k since Live went to a more arcade style

I was more of a fan (Superfan really) of Tecmo Superbowl. But I still have a vast collection of Atari 2600 games (and the system), and Nintendo games and systems (regular nintendo and SNES). *heads to Ebay*
