If you haven't downloaded Google Earth 5.0 yet, I must insist you give it a try. It's awwwwesommmme!! You type in a city, an actual physical address, coordinates, and Google Earth "flies" you there! Using satellite imagery, Earth allows users to see houses and cities. Some buildings and mountainous areas can even be viewed in 3D. When you get one of these icons- , click for pictures of landmarks. And now, with the release of Google Earth 5.0, you can even go underwater and see what lies beneath...dundundunnn!

Seriously though, it's pretty darn cool if ya ask me. You can explore the Titanic! The Titanic! It's fascinating stuff I tell ya.

A few features:

See global changes with decades of historic imagery.
Track and share your paths with others.
Mars Mode- Yup Mars! You can switch between Earth, Sky, and Mars views.
Tilt Views- You can tilt the view for a different perspective and for a view of the horizon.

And...there's more!

Here's a view of The Bellagio/Caesars Palace in Vegas:
Ooo-ahhh! *lol*

Strange Google Street Views
I know this isn't directly related to "Google Earth" But it's close. If we start getting lots of posts with your own finds, then I'll definitely make a new thread of it. In the meantime, here's some strange things the Google Street View people have captured on film for the world to see. Feel free to peruse Google Street Views and post some of your own. Let's see what we can find!

So critter and I have come to the conclusion that this can only be an alien space ship full of aliens, come to explore the Rock & Roll Annex and eat boxes and boxes of Chocolate Juniors. What?? *shrug* They heard they were yummy.

Re: Googling the Earth and Ocean

This isn't a Google Earth thing, but it's semi-related; the Google-Street-View-Mobile can be seen in a reflection in my next door neighbors front picture window. Little white car.
