SO I saw this and thought I would add it here....
here is the list but click on the article above to read about each one of them:
Now with that said let me leave you with one more link -
You can find just about any breed of dog there and all looking for a good home. Why pay a puppy mill when you can rescue!
if you have one of the top breads or any breed add info (and pics if you have them) so others can see :-)
Here's my Oakley..a bassett hound ..the worlds most stubborn dog and umm not too bright either. but his personality is #1

Aww Green & Smartmama, both those dogs are soo sweet looking. And yes, like smartmom said, look for dogs in rescue shelters. They need love, and saving, too...

I love bassett hounds. Ok is this the same dog that ate a hole in the wall to get out? Oakley is to cute! I did hear that bassetts are stubborn but that they make great family dogs.

Holy cow, hes got big since the day you got him!!!
It's Cracker Jack! Holy dog ears he's HUGE now! Well, like missb said, at least much bigger since when you first got him. Aww <3 him. Can't wait to meet him yay!

For about 10 years I had a Australian Cattle Dog (a Blue heeler). He looked like this (thats not my dog just looks like him):
OMG very smart dog and FULL of energy. That dog was the best frisbee dog ever. We use to have alot of squirrels in our area and if one walked on our fence he would pick them off one by one - it was a 6' wooden fence. He was a really high jumper. His name was Max but unfortunately at age 10 he got doggie cancer and we had to put him down. It was very hard. We have had other dogs since him but he was the smartest by far.
