SO just when you think you have seen it all - I mean we had Glow in the dark cats and dogs why not monkeys. It gets better though. What happens when a glow in the dark mom mates with a glow in the dark dad? You get glow in the dark babies.
Well the cats and dogs were the makings of South Korea and these little guys are from Japan. Serioulsy if I had glow in the dark monkeys come after me that might just push me over the edge. Besides being glow in the dark they are cute little buggers.
The first genetically modified primates that can pass their modifications to their offpsring have been created by Japanese scientists.
The marmosets, pictured above, express a green fluorescent protein in their skin. The gene for producing the glow was delivered to the first marmoset embryos via a modified virus. But now that modification method could become unnecessary. One male marmoset, number 666, fathered a child (pictured at right) that also contained the transgenes.
Chernobyl....hey you asked.
I know they are cute. I would say I want one but don't monkeys throw poop when mad? Yeah no way in heck would I have a poop throwing animal.
why? I am not really understanding the need to make glow in the dark animals.. now, if this could be implemented on pre-teens and add a homing device that can self activate after curfew... I'm all over it
Glow in the dark kids - YIKES. There are times I want my kids to disappear not glow - . Homing device yeah I'm all over that one.
You have a Quaker parrot? In my neighborhood I have around 300+ they build HUGE nests. THIS was in my neighbors tree. OMG they are noisy. I dunno a monkey might be quiter.
Nope their legal to have as pets. From time to time we see ppl trying to catch them. Its just a HUGE flock of wild ones. Noisy wouldn't describe how loud they can get and early in the morning. They are beautiful and atleast not messy like some birds are. They love the trees out in the back yards so its neat to look up and see 300 green birds looking back at you. Their nests fascinate me - they must be 4' tall. You should post some pics of your bird and I'll move these comments over to the thread
Single & Not Looking
That is scary, but they are so cute! What next, glow in the dark ducks? tsk tsk....
