What's your favorite kind of news? Do you like sappy feel good stories? Celebrity gossip? The weather? I like me a good car chase. I like my news live and happening right now, not tape delay or pre-recorded by the reporter.
And I got a good car chase today; turned on the tv after getting home from work just in time. A guy jacks a semi truck in GA, with the driver/owner sitting on the back. He got a helluva ride as the truck thief drove onto I-75 and evaded cops, who weren't sure exactly what to do since, 1. Its a great big truck, and 2. there's a guy hanging on for dear life to the back of it. Eventually they blew out the tires and slowed him down enough to the point where the owner jumped off. And the landing looked like it hurt, though he was fine.
Mr. truck-stealer was then pulled out by a small army of cops. He gave them a bit of a fight before being hauled in.
dang, I love a good car chase. Here's a link.
yes, I will admit I will sit and watch the car chases. Live is best.. although I was on the freeway last year when one passed me.. That was a bit "too live" for me, though.
I saw that on the news last night - crazy. I saw the one tire go rolling down the road. Car chases are good unless its watching a white SUV with OJ in driving down the highway for a hour or so (boring). I saw another good one on the news yesterday that happened in TX - great footage but I'll be darn if I can find it (still looking). It was actually a school bus.
I love story on stupid crimes, you know the "heres your sign" type. Like they go to rob a building and get locked it. I remember one guy went to rob a gas station, had the gun in his pocket, went to pull it out and well shot off one of his "boys". That had to hurt but funny. I love stupid crime stories.
Entertaining read.... Does it really take 6+ guys to handcuff one perpetrator? Seems like they were disappointed that he didn't put up much of a fight.
Hell. Where else?
This one is also great. From a couple weeks ago. Not only is it fun, but it turns out the driver is a woman, which seems kinda rare to me. At one point she got out and yelled at the cops while the car was still coasting. It had a little more action and crazy driving goodness than the semi truck one. I would have bet she was going to flip the car at one point. I saw this one live as well, its been a good month for car chases on the news.
