Found this in my local paper and it started me thinking that this has to be everywhere, not just a local thing. So many older people in nursing homes that could be connecting with family and friends if they just had the help. But it appears there is not enough help to be had. Maybe some of us here on this great site - GEEKDROP - might want to share some of the knowledge we have been so fortunate to obtain. Check it out......
Volunteers are needed for senior citizen centers and nursing homes with computer assistance. Many seniors don't know how to use a computer and/or don't own computers. There are waiting lists for classes. These are people who have been around for a long time and may have done wonderful things for their country.
Maybe we can make a difference!! (And who knows, maybe we can introduce them to GEEKDROP).
That is an awesome IDEA!!!!

Very true Candy I'm sure they are all looking to connect with others. I know my grandmother (who is 84) is always having me look up something for her.
