Ok question for our ipod/iphone users. My son has a ipod touch and I need to put a flash player on it. I know that Adobe has a flash player for MAC however the wonderful Apple folks wont let it work on ipod's and iphones.
So what do you use as a flash player? My son would like to play a few facebook apps but they require a flash player. thanks
Ok well that sucks
Thanks for the info izzle and I'll keep a eye out. Jailbreaking is out since it requires tethering
Not sure why you say you can jailbreak it because of tehering that makes no sense ?
I'm gonna send you a email to your Regular email that may explain this better !
I have a new addition ipod that requires tehering to start it up. Its my sons and since he turns it off in school it would basically be a paperweight will he got home and tehered it. So until they fix that issue (jailbreaking) I won't do that to him.
I think you got the wrong info ! By tethered they mean you need to have the ipod touch hooked up to your computer via your sync cable. It needs you PC to boot it up the first time after jailbreak !
Also as far as I know you can't real Brick your ipod touch ! I know there are alot of people buying them off craigslist bricked for $50-$100 all you do to fix this is plug it in make sure its charged , hook it to your PC then hold down power button until its in DFU mode ( which I dont remember how many seconds it is, but you can find it on youtube ) then restore it back to original !

Nope the newer models require it every time you start up not just when you jailbreak it
Only when you completely power it down! Which I don't usually do I leave mine on in hibernate mode for weeks on end, but maybe if you are usining it constatly that may not be a good thing? I heard 3rd gen also uses more battery cause its slightly faster. I have a 2nd gen
I dont have the 3rd Gen so i'm not sure I would still try and and restor it in a few day if you don't like it
I was just saying the tethered Jailbreak is not tethering like iphone wifi tethering
Yeah his is a 3rd generation 64GB touch and yes it does use the battery more. He listens to it when he rides his bike to school and on the way home. He does power it down when he is at school. He also goes camping so he powers it on and off there. Tethering is simply not a option for him.
We tried it on another ipod (3rd generation) and he got to see it. His buddy did restore it after he learned what a pain in the butt it was.
One of the disappointing facts I should have known BEFORE I bought my iPhone...
yeah no joke and from the looks of it the only reason you can't have it is because Apple blocks it - shame on them!

Well, the short answer is you don't. For now. There are some crappy options in jailbreaking which I know is not a real option for him. I read an article that said Adobe is getting ready to release their SDK for iPhone basically sidestepping Apple. The basics of the article were that about 120,000 people develop for the iPhone versus 2 million for Flash. I guess the apps will be web based so no app store and no limitations except hardware. OK found the article.

In a couple years as phones get better we'll probably see full flash on every smartphone/ superphone.
