So most of us use Firefox and the one nice thing about Firefox is all of the different addons that you can add to customize it.

I thought this would be a great place to talk about some of the different addons that we use. Who knows maybe will discover a new addon that we had no idea about.

Post your addons - or atleast the ones that you love and then give a brief description of what the addon does. Links to the addons are always welcome

Re: Firefox addon's

here are some of the addons I like and use

Adblock Plus - love it and I use not only our blocker subscription but also Rick752's Easylist.

IE Tab - if you are on Firefox and run into a site that will not work on Firefox you can click the button and turn your Firefox into IE for that site (without ever having to leave Firefox)

Fasterfox - it just helps your Firefox run a little better

smiley xtra 4 - it your a smile emoticon addict like me then this is a must. Hundreds of smiles at your fingertips and easily accessed - love it!

Well, the add-ons that I currently have are:
Adblock; Ask toolbar; AVG safesearch (was included with the AVG software); AVG security toolbar (was included with the AVG software); Google toolbar for firefox; Google Enhancer; Googlepedia; and IE tab.
I'm so hot, I sometimes spontaneously combust.

Another one to add to the list if you use multiple PC's is Foxmarks. It synchronizes bookmarks (and passwords, if you so choose), between multiple computers. With a home pc, work pc, and work laptop this addon is a must!

I love CoolPreviews. Here's the description from the website.

Browse faster -- Preview links and images without leaving your current page or tab. Just mouseover any link, and a separate preview window immediately appears to show you the content. (TIP: The fastest way to view many links on a webpage, such as Google, is by mousing over subsequent links while the preview window is still open or locked.)

Re: Firefox addon's
  • My list of addons:
  • Adblock Plus
    Ads were yesterday!

Helps you create element hiding rules for AdBlock Plus to fight the text ads. Makes selecting exactly what to hide much easier.
  • AI Roboform Toolbar for Firefox
Allows the use of Roboform in Firefox.
  • BBCodeXtra
Adds BBCode/HTML/XHTML commands to the context menu. Great for use on GeekDrop as well as thousands of other website forums.
  • BugMeNot
Bypass compulsory web registration with the context menu via www.bugmenot.com.
  • ColorZilla
Advanced Eyedropper, ColorPicker, Page Zoomer and other colorful goodies
  • CookieSwap
Tool to save and swap out a collection of cookies on the fly. This is awesome. One of my favorites
  • CustomizeGoogle
Enhance Google search results and remove ads and spam.
  • Delicious Bookmarks
Access your bookmarks wherever you go and keep them organized no matter how many you have. Another awesome addon.
  • DownloadHelper
Download videos and images from many sites
  • Extension List Dumper
Dumps a list of the installed extensions.
  • FaviconizeTab
The width of the specified tab becomes small up to the size of favicon. Saves space on the tab bar by right clicking the tab you want, choosing Faviconize, and it'll make the tab only as wide as the icon.
  • Firebug
    Robust tool for web developers.

Get international weather forecasts and radar images and display it in any toolbar or statusbar with this highly customizable extension.
  • Google Gears
These are the gears that power the tubes! :-)

Paste Text and Load/Search It Immediately
  • Reload Tab On Double-Click
Reload tab when double-clicking on tab.
  • Session Manager
Saves and restores the state of all windows.
  • Smiley Xtra
Insert smilies into forum posts, blogs and more!
  • Speed Dial
Direct access to your most visited websites. This is a must have for me.
  • Taboo
The cure for tabitis. Lets you sort of "quick save" web pages that you don't necessarily want to bookmark for good. Try it, you might like it.
  • Tabs Open Relative
Tabs open to the right of the current one.
  • TwitterFox
This extension lets you know twitter statuses, and enter your own right from the status bar.
  • Update Scanner
Monitors webpages for updates. Very cool.
  • User Agent Switcher
Adds a menu and a toolbar button to switch the user agent of the browser. Very useful, even in some *cough* Mischievous *cough* ways Wink
  • Web Developer
Adds a menu and a toolbar with various web developer tools. Another Must have.

Re: Firefox addon's

Ever type something looong into a page (form) and then something happens? (i.e. Browser crash) and you lose everything? This extension can save the paint from peeling off of your walls from the steam coming out of both of your ears when that happens, by letting you recover it all. Think of it as a sort of "Undelete".

Or better yet, an "Un-Oh-#$%^!!-erator"

Clicky

Re: Firefox addon's

Yeah I'll be snagging that one.

here is another good one:

RealoadEvery - its a auto refresher that you can pick a certain amount of time or set it to a custom refreshing. I use this on a gaming site - long story but its a trick that I'll post in the Premie areas. If you need a good/easy refresher this is a good one.

Re: Firefox addon's <looking for one>

OK I'm looking for a script addon that will open every link on a page. Say if I go to a page on the net that has 100 links on it I need a addon that will open all 100 of them. Anyone know a addon that will do that?

Re: Firefox addon's <looking for one>

Here's a couple that may (or may not) be helpful. You might wanna read the description in some... I'll keeping digging, though.
Insta-click (with GreaseMonkey)
userInfo in tabs (GreaseMonkey)
links open_in_new_tab (GreaseMonkey)
Snap Links 0.0.4 for older versions of Firefox.. Sad

Selection Links 0.0.1

Chain Links 1.0

On another note, you buy from Newegg alot, right? I found this script that you may like...
