So do you find yourself having facebook pet peeves?
Maybe its those who are playing all of those silly app games...
Or how about those who "pass a drink", "send-a-sperm" or you have to love those food fights...
We also can forget about all the silly "Take a Quiz"
17% Retarded: WooHoo!
So what bugs you? What is your facebook pet peeve?
You nailed one of mine right on the head; the ones who update every half hour to an hour, with mundane status updates:
TommyTwoTone: can't sleep.
TommyTwoTone: just made scrambled eggs. Yum.
TommyTwoTone: just clipped his fingernails.
TommyTwoTone: Go Eagles.
TommyTwoTone: Just drove to the grocery store and is now back. (Thank God, he's back so we can keep up with his boring statuses).
At least try to be a little funny or throw something out there people may find interesting ...
Another Facebook Pet Peeve of mine is those incessant notifications you get that you can't turn off, even though it said you won't be getting them any more. One example is that "TommyTwoTone wants to add your birthday to his calendar, click here to allow it" app.
Another one, is the inability to block all application notices from a partcular user. I had one girl recently request me who I didn't mind having there as a friend, but she would bomb me with 30 different application notifications a day, of crap I DGAF about, like "Andrea just watered your flower, click here to water hers back". I spent half my day clicking "Hide notifications from this application" because of her, so rather than come off as rude and email her asking her to stuff it, I just deleted her. She promptly sent me a re-request, which I left floating in Friend Request Land.
What you don't want to water her flower
SO does this mean you don't want us to load you with a ton of spam by giving you things - just kidding. I do know what you mean. I have a relative that spams me with atleast 20 new apps a day - my request area is always overflowing.
I think on that note is good to point out that telling all your friends about geekdrop is always a good thing and never spamming
What you don't want to water her flower
I don't mind certain applications; sending me a drink is one thing, asking me to butter her muffin is another.
(Save those for email ... hee hee )
jk
Actually I don't usually mind getting stuff, but when it's someone who requested you on Myspace, a long time ago, and you've tried to politely talk to once, and she ignored ya, you delete her, she re-requests, you ignore it, then a year later finds you on FaceBook, sends a request, you're polite enough again to allow her in, then she BOMBS you with the most retarded application notifications, by the dozens, and since each one is brand new, it don't matter if you already click the "block this application forever" link, because it's a new one, ya eventually want to throw her to a pack of hungry wolves.
Besides, no one want's to water this girls flower ... trust me ...
those kinda idiots belong on twitter....i know theres a reason its called twitter, its for twits that like to say stuff like that..... i thought there was a way to hide notifications from ppl, i know theres a way to hide stuff like that as in if you want to see more or less of what a certain person has to say....i'll check into it......theres a dweeb at work that i should have never had on my page, im not interested in anything he does or what he has to say, so when he posted something and it showed on my page, i hit "hide" button next to it and it said i would never hear anything he had to say again or something to that affect.....facebook is cool that way...i'm almost sure theres a way to block apps and that way you shouldn't get notifications, i'll do more research, right now im beat though.....but now that you mentioned it, i'll water your flower only if you want to water mine oh god im delirious.....
...but now that you mentioned it, i'll water your flower only if you want to water mine oh god im delirious.....
wow get a room - need I remind you this is a PG-13 site
we're talking about watering flowers here miss SM....its your dirty mind thats at work AGAIN
You can block them individually once you've already gotten something, and if they show something in a feed, you canc click "hide" by them or the application they posted in the feed, but AFAIK there's no "Block all application notifications from this user forever" link.
If there is, I'd really appreciate someone letting me know.
OK here is a fun one to annoy your friends with
click on the picture and "save to file" then upload it to your photo album and start tagging your friends.....

I love facebook not only for keeping up with the family and friends but for all of the silliness too. I mean if you took everything I wrote or ever quiz I took for real I would be one seriously messed up chick (yeah no comment needed from the funny farm of friends ).
Personally I think if it bothers you then you can always hide the app or game. If you don't know how to hide a app or game simply look to the side and click on it - like this:
The one pet peeve I do have is when someone will leave a total spam comment out of the blue on something that has nothing to do with what the post was about - seriously no one likes spammers. I saw this today but it wasn't on a post that I made and the spammer was not a friend of mine.

Seriously that annoys me and I have no issue telling them in a reply comment under them that no one likes spammers
