The Dell Latitude 2100 is a pretty cool laptop and is aimed toward the student market. It has a LED strip at the top of the edge of the lid that lights up whenever the computer is connected to either a wired or wireless network. This gives both parents and teachers the heads up if the kid goes online, pretty genius I think. However, here's a way for the kids to disable that giveaway sign and surf unbeknownst to parents and teachers. It is also easily reconnected. Check out how to do it here

Laughing kids find a work around for everything. I can imagine also covering up the light with a sticker or a Skin.
