So if Judge Sonia Sotomayor is appointed to the Supreme Court she will be the first Judge there that has ruled on a few cyberlaw trials. So basically maybe she is a little more up with the times and a little more techie or atleast as far as the law goes. So is this good or bad? Are we going to start seeing more cyberlaw trials come up before the Supreme Court if she gets in? I think about the Pirate Bay case that has been such a huge subject over in Sweden - we certainly don't want that here. So knowing that she is a Cyberlaw Judge would you be more inclined to want her to make it to the Supreme Court or not?
If elevated to the U.S. Supreme Court, Judge Sonia Sotomayor would become the first justice to join the court with a history of precedent-setting rulings on cyberlaw issues, legal experts say.
On Tuesday, President Barack Obama nominated Sotomayor, a judge in the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, to the replace the retiring Justice David Souter. The former private IP lawyer's cyberlaw decisions ranged from copyrights in a digitized world to warrantless computer searches, so-called click-wrap agreements and the Patriot Act .
So armed with this information do you want her or not want her in the Supreme Court now?

Yeah like all things there is a good side and a bad side. Last year dealing with all of my stalker issues I would have said heck yeah get her into office but the the Yo Ho Ho side of me says welllllllllllll lets think about it.
I dunno I'm still on the fence.
I dunno..... the Pirate Bay Thing always was more likely to happen here because we have copyright laws here and actually try and enforce them. Not good for piraters but lets face it, it is fair to the people who make the stuff. That being said the 'pirate community' will always be a step ahead of whatever restrictions they put in place so I wouldn't worry.
About all the other issues who knows, you're never going to find someone who agrees with what you do 100 percent of the time....and anyway this is still America, we have more rights than anywhere(or at worst just as much for all you america bashers) and one person can't change that. Dont sweat it
I agree with Glove's comments.

After reading up on her I dunno
I mean some of the rulings I'm glad but I have this sinking feeling that we could end up with more cases such as the Pirate Bay one and that would not make me happy. Either way its going to be intresting.
