Yes CircuitCity.com is back online (only online - no stores)
But Buyer Beware!

This is NOT the same CircuitCity.com you knew. If you find a deal there then you better make sure its what you want - 110% sure. Why......

If you buy it then its yours FOREVER! If you want to check it out you can read their return policy HERE. You can read more about it here...

Beware CircuitCity.com's Return Policies

On March 8, Circuit City went out of business. In April, systems builder Systemax purchased the company's e-commerce business, CircuitCity.com, which relaunched over the weekend.

Do you think the manufacturer would honor an exchange?

Possibly, I think as long as they don't have to give your money back it would be ok, I would check with them first though just to be sure.

Well I would strongly recommend checking first. I know that most of those companies were screwed out of serious money by CircuitCity (as in millions). I thought I had read that HP was screwed like 11 million dollars. When CircuitCity sold the store they sold the merchandise with it. If you buy it your now a 3rd party owner. Most if not all will warranty any 3rd party items especially ones that came from a vendor that screwed them out of millions. So buyer beware.

Personally I wouldn't buy a box of crayons from them - but that is me Smile

Well depending on the manufacturer you can register your product and should something happen (the product is defective, or malfunctioned) you can return it and they will either repair the item or in some cases send you a new one.
And from the ashes she rises.....

On a semi-related note: One of those electronics/appliance "closeout depots" in town just renamed itself Closeout City. They blatantly used the now-defunct Circuit City logo. I guess there's a chance they're part of a chain and purchased the rights to the logo, but I kinda doubt it. I'm not sure if they actually have good deals or not, but sooner or later I may have to wander in and check them out.
