Well I live in FL so by the time the real trees are shipped here they don't look the best - unless they come in via refrigerated truck (big $$). In the past we use to get a real tree but the year I blew my knee (d@mn duck) I had no energy so my family got me a really nice fake tree - one of those big ones with lots of branches and pre-lite. No water needed and no mess
I miss the smell of the real trees. I know they have spray but its not the same. I have a Christmas tree candle that kinda smells like it.

I LOVE real trees but I have a son who is highly allergic to everything green. Including Christmnas trees, so fake is what we use

I can't remember the last time I set up a tree. Which is a shame, cause I have lots of family ornaments and a lot of ones made by my Grandmother... I may still have a 2 foot Fiber Optic tree, if I can find it maybe it will come out this year.

Devillllllllll.....You have wee ones you have to set up the tree. However I will say you are like me in the tropics and I will say setting up a tree when its 90 degrees out SUCKS! It just takes out the holiday spirit.

It was hard to make time and find energy last year, and I was still living in 2 different houses at that point. This year it may be worth it, and one of the kids is old enough to notice if there's a tree or not. But they are still visiting grandparents in TN, so I'm not sure even when they are coming back home...
It was rainy here yesteday, I haven't been outside yet today but I don't think its cold or anything...
Edit: I poked my head outside, its def cooler than it was yesterday...

I've never had a real tree. Hard to imagine why anyone wouold want one; you have to go out in the cold, pick one out, load it up in the car, truck it home, needles fall off all over the floor that ya have to clean up, then ya have to take it out the road when xmas is over ... sounds like too much work.
So much easier to just unpack a tree from the attic. Plus the hippie in me makes me feel a little better knowing that I spared a tree's life.

Ah no. You can't just go leavin a lil juicy nugget like that hangin out there.
I can see wanting a real tree just for the pine smell, but I just spray the xmas pine scent aroudn the house and it's close enough for me.
Still, seems weird to have an actual tree indoors to me, 
I thought those were supposed to be outside. And no vaccuum cleaner needed for me. 
I'll spend that freed up vaccuum time drinkin Rum n Egg Nog.
