SO tonight I went to see the new movie AVATAR with a bunch of kids. My sons birthday was last month but he wanted to wait for the party till this movie came out. So off to the movies we went, my oldest, myself and my 13 yr old with a truck load of other 13 yr old kids. I will say we ALL loved it. There wasn't one slow part in the movie, it was action packed. It also had superb graphics. I can't say enough about the movie.
Even if your not a sci-fi move person this movie has alot to offer. It is rated PG13 and I'm sure that is because there is some violence in it (nothing to bad). I wouldn't call it sexual as the most they did was kiss. The movie is 2 hrs 30 min. Now if you go to a regular theater you will see it normal but if you view it in a IMAX theater its in 3D. We planned to see it in 3D but the IMAX was sold out however we will be seeing it again and at the IMAX.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the best) it rated a 15
A bunch of my friends are telling me they thought it was great too.
It was!!!! We're going again either Tue or Wed night all depending when the neice is off of work. This time we are going to IMAX - I'll go snag the tickets in the morning
I am simply stunned. This is one of the best movies I have ever seen. And if you guys know anything about me, I go a lot. I would say this would go in the top 3 of my all time favorites. You feel so connected to this world that is presented to you. You feel their connection to the earth. You want to embrace their way of life. And you feel every ounce of pain that they do as the bad guy comes in and tries to ruin their way of life. I don't think I've ever been happier to see a bad guy die, or ever hated one as much as this guy...
I saw it in 3D on a regural screen and I was amazed. Best graphics in any movie, hands down. The fires, the water, the glowing plants, the leaves... All looked like perfect photographs.
I give it a 20 out of 10. The only reason I don't give it a 25 out of 10 is because I saw the 8 PM showing and it is 2 hours and 45 min... And I started getting physically tired in the final climax. Still, a true masterpiece.

I agree 100% I saw on facebook that LBL posted that it was amazing. We were bummed out that we were unable to see it in 3D but tomorrow night we are I'm going to go and get tickets in the am do there is no issue. I'm hoping Tuesday night is good.
We also wanted to see it at an imax but it was sold out. But we still got to see it in 3d at our regular movie theater and it was AMAZING! I still may go check it out at an imax though. but man i agree this movie actually lives up to the hype I thought.
I hope that after I die, people will say of me: "That guy sure owed me a lot of money.''
