Not very good news to wake up to on a Monday morning, I actually hate readiing stories like this. I find it strange though that a plane can just disappear without a trace. We'll just have to wait and see. Fingers crossed.
PARIS (Reuters) - An Air France plane flying from Brazil to Paris has gone missing with 228 people on board, the airline said on Monday.
Its last known location was unclear. The Brazilian air force said its planes had begun searching for the airliner off the northeast coast of Brazil.
Flight AF 447 has 216 passengers and 12 crew on board. It left Rio de Janeiro on Sunday at 7 p.m. (6:00 p.m. EDT) and was expected to land at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport on Monday at 11:15 a.m. (5:15 a.m. EDT).

Here's an update on the story. Very sad 
I agree so incredibly sad. I do hope they are atleast able to either locate the plane and some bodies or some of the items so that the families can have some closure. My thoughts and prayers go out to them.
I read this story this morning as I was running out the door to go to work... So tragic. My thoughts and prayers go out to the families... I know that no one could have survived, but if anything, I hope they at least find the plane so they can find answers for the families....... so sad.
It doesn't look like a happy ending while they still hope for survivors, I cannot see anyone beating the Atlantic Ocean for such a long period of time. Hope springs eternal though.

Check this out, this woman avoided the doomed flight only to be killed a few days later in a car accident. Wow, when the grim reaper wants you he comes for you. This just totally freaked me out.

I know how sad. My heart goes out to the families that had loved ones on that flight. Since I didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn when I woke this morning I popped on the TV in bed and this was the first thing I heard. They said there are so many spots in the ocean that there is no radar for so they could be anywhere.
