Ok so Adam admitted he was gay - should it matter?
I like how he put it to Rolling Stone Mag but posted by omg!
"I was worried that [coming out] would be so sensationalized that it would overshadow what I was there to do, which was sing," Lambert tells the mag. "I'm an entertainer, and who I am and what I do in my personal life is a separate thing. It shouldn't matter. Except it does. It's really confusing."
I agree it shouldn't matter. Personally I buy a CD for the music - I could care less what the singer looks like or which way they swing. I will admit he is handling it soooooooooo much better then Clay Aiken.
So what are your opinions - should he have told, lied or not said anything because its no ones business? Do you think he should have waited till his first CD came out?
I knew he was gay from early on. I'm glad he came out, although it is nobody's business, why are people so fascinated about this kind of thing? I don't get it, he's not the first gay performer and he won't be the last. I mean it was clear that he was gay but everyone just wanted to hear him say it, why? I have no clue . I mean who the heck cares if he is or not. It's about the music, I have loved many gay performers in the past (George Michael, Boy George), doesn't matter to me which way they swing. My son even loves Adam and he knows he's gay too, he just thinks hes an awesome performer and loves his voice, thats the way it should be, none of this "I'm not buying his album cos he's gay". So yes I think he should have told, I'm glad he told, now maybe everyone can get off his back and let him do what he does best.... sing...
I agree its only music - its not like I want to sleep with him so its not my business
I've never watched American Idol, but didn't this guy lose? The main reason he's going public now is to stay in the public eye. He'll crap out some mediocre pop album in the next couple of weeks and needs the constant extra publicity. I heard on the radio that usually the people who lose the show do better and go farther than the winners... Beats me - I don't know who any of them are. Tho I was told a couple of times I kinda look like the Daughtry guy...
The main reason he's going public now is to stay in the public eye.
Nah I don't think so. It's the media that have hounded him about his sexuality and honestly he doesn't need the hype, hes very talented and I think hes going to do great!
Somewhere between fantasy and reality...
