I can not mourn....
I will give MJ credit for his music talents but I am sorry if I can not mourn his death. See I have seen in person the ugly affect that child molestation can cause. I have held a little one in my arms as they have cried telling me what happened to them over and over again. It is something that no person should ever have to deal with. So as everyone says that we should overlook his past indiscretions I ask you have you ever had to deal with it? Can you look into the face of the children he has hurt and say that? Walk in their shoes.
I am sure that if I looked hard enough I could find good in a lot of ppl that cause harm to children but I'm sorry when I say I can not look past the harm that the wicked have caused on the kids. So no I will not look past discretion's instead I choose to be the voice of those who can not talk.
So as I do respect others in having the right to mourn the way they feel fit I would ask that they also respect those who choose not to. If MJ's music brought back wonderful childhood memories for you they I am happy for you for that. I think you should hang on to those memories. For some those memories are not happy.
I will leave you with a picture that the little girl (who is in her late teens now) had posted on her myspace. She was the little girl who I held, conforted as she cried telling me her story.
So as you ask us to repect your rights to mourn (and I will) then we ask that you respect our rights not to mourn.

I agree and I don't wish death upon anyone. I will give him credit for his music and the effect he has had on music industry but like you I can not look past the other stuff.
I am sad he died and I'm sad for those who mourn him and to them I give my sypathy and respect. I just can not personally mourn at this time.

He was a talented performer without a doubt and I was a fan, but he was also a child molester. Some people can look past it and some can't, to each their own. I believe MJ had a horrendous childhood filled with abuse and he in turn abused innocent children. Was he found guilty? No, but that didn't surprise me at all. Like Glover said, OJ wasn't convicted either but I think we all know that he was without a hair of a doubt guilty. Some people see the wonderful talented musician and some people see the dark disturbing person in MJ, either way it's their right to see him as they choose. Child abuse is a very sore subject to some and justly so, and just because he was an awesome artist, what he did cannot be overlooked and probably shouldn't be just because he passed away. Am I sad that he died? Yes. Will I mourn his death? Nah probably not.

Listen I know he made lots of great music, I would still listen to it, I said as much in the main thread about his death. All I'm saying is that child molestation is one of the worst sins I can think of, and that trumps everything else you do in life in my book.

Again, I hope so. Because I think speaking ill of someone on a thread created to honor him a day after fans were shocked by his death is a pretty low thing to do. So I hope people will raise you up when you die, not try to pull you down even in death.

Ok so explain this to me......
If you grew up being abused and MJ says he was by his father then why in hell would he leave his children to be raised by his mother who is STILL with his father? Don't tell me his mother will protect them because obviously she didn't protect MJ as a child. I find this very disturbing either that or he wasn't abused and was just a freak on his own (could be).
