Well I know in the past I have dropped a ipod into water and then tried to rush and blow dry it only to still have water issues. So what do you do if you should drop your iPhone or iPod into water? Well instead of grabbing the blow dryer try grabbing a bag of rice.

Yep toss it in a bag of rice for a few hours (turned off) and it will absorb the water. Big Grin

Does anyone know any good FREE cell phone directory? All the ones I have tried give me nothing.

I got a text message a few hours ago saying a relative had died last night but no clue who. The phone number is the right area code but I'm clueless on who sent it. I really don't want to send that "who is this" text back. Sad

This article aplies to anyone who has a jailbroken iphone / iPod touch or want to jailbreak in the future
NOTE : to be on safe side upgrade to 3.1.2 (at the latest) and stick with it for now !

upgrading iPhone firmware to 3.1.2 is still safe and a unlock and jailbreak can be performed

upgrading to 3.1.3 is Unsafe or from what they safe if you have a jailbroken or Unlocked iPhone

Yeah from time to time they come out with new jailbreaks and new firmware but alot are saying 3.1.2 may be the last

You have to love modern technology when banks are even offering apps. Sounds good huh, well some of them are however there have been quite a few that are phishing scams. Not only has this hit the iphones but its gotten really bad on the google android phones. In googles rush to push more apps though it seams some have slipped though the cracks.

Reverse Cell Phone Search

I was goofing around on the internet yesterday, and I stumbled across a neat little website called Phone Whois. It's a website where you can do reverse searches on telephone numbers. The cool part? It works on cell phones. I input my cell phone number, and my name appeared. No address or anything else. Just my name. I did try on other people's cell phone numbers and for the most part, their names showed up; some did return with "No listing."
