So have you heard the Movie AVATAR is racist? OK you're saying why? Well towards the end of the movie two WHITE men look at Jake Sully (the blue 9' Avatar) "How does it feel to betray your own race?". There ya go that one line has turned some into a anti Avatar protesters shouting out its racist. All because James Cameron (the writer/director) has choosen it to be said by two white men and not a black and a white guy.
Well as you remember I blasted on Saturday how much I love the movie Avatar. I took my kids (along with other kids) to see it but we were unable to get into the IMAX to see it in 3D so we had to see it regular non 3D version (2D). So this morning I headed off early to get tickets to see it 3D with the kids. This time we took my dad and my nieces. We went and saw it at the IMAX so HUGE screen.
SO tonight I went to see the new movie AVATAR with a bunch of kids. My sons birthday was last month but he wanted to wait for the party till this movie came out. So off to the movies we went, my oldest, myself and my 13 yr old with a truck load of other 13 yr old kids. I will say we ALL loved it. There wasn't one slow part in the movie, it was action packed. It also had superb graphics. I can't say enough about the movie.
I admit one of my favorite part of the holidays is the movies. I love all of the Christmas movies out there from The Grinch to Tim Allen in The Santa Clause. There are so many great Christmas movies.
So share your favorite - post a clip or a picture if you would like. Here are a few movie clips to get you going....
Okay, so let me set the scene: I'm a young male that was convinced to read all 4 Twilight books. I had mixed emotions about the books. The story was okay, but whatshername isn't the best writer. I saw Twilight, and thought it was an okay movie. Of course, nothing like the book, so I went into this movie expecting the same thing. My date thought it would we fun to go to the midnight show at the local place, and naturally I gave in eventually. (Oh the things we'll do for you ladies).
Since the new movies is about to open I thought I would post some pics that I found funny.........
I was really looking forward to this film. It is a take on "Button, Button" All I can say for me is it is not even rental worthy. It lost me completely and took so very many bizarre turns and the end well left ya hanging. Anybody see it? Did you think differently of it?
Here's the trailer which looked great
This is a geek site so what is geekier than star wars fans! Aside from star TREK fans of course! . I was surfing around YouTube and found these video!
What's All that Noise
I have been hearing the hype about this movie for over a week now, it's being said that this is the scariest movie EVER! Now I'm not one that will watch a horror movie, but I do feel drawn to it, but not to the extent that I will actually watch it but I'd love to hear straight from someone who actually did.
After a young, middle class couple moves into what seems like a typical suburban “starter” tract house, they become increasingly disturbed by a presence that may or may not be demonic but is certainly most active in the middle of the night.
