Ok so your heading out of town so why not tell the world. You know do a little bragging. Hey I'm heading to this fabulous place and I wont be back till Sunday. Sounds good after your all your only telling your friends and ok maybe the world. Yeah guess who else is reading those Twitters, facebook posts, myspace moods, blogs ummm yeah you guessed it buglers. Oh yeah there has been a added surge in ppl's houses getting robbed. So its just one more thing to think about as we socialize. Maybe we should share the trip after we return vs prior to leaving.

Here are a few good sites for "researching" an IP address.
IP2Location offers a 20 free look-ups per IP address a day. If you sign up for the free Demo account that number is increased 10x.

Nothing is worse then trying to access the internet while at work or school only to find that its a blocked site. You can't get on your myspace, facebook, twitter or youtube? So how do you access the web? Well one way (the easiest way) would be to access the web via a proxy site. Using a proxy will also let you surf the web anonymously with out showing your computers IP (your computers address). There are many different proxys on the web. Some proxys hide more then others. You can google and find a ton of them.

Enter your username in the search field on this site and you'll see where said username is registered. If you see a site you want to register to, and the username is still available, there is a link provided so that you can clicky and sign up! Also gives you an idea of how many others may have your same username when you get an "unavailable" result, and know for sure that you're not the (insert user

so...i've got a blog on wordpress.
it will show how many people visited on any given day, and the referrer if there was any (which is usually always the totally ambiguous facebook.com/home.php? *lol*)
i want to make sure that one particular IP never shows up *lol* (ADD remark: wouldn't it be cool if you could get an alert?? abort operation! shut down your blog! it's been infiltrated! *lol*)

In the past when anyone has ever asked if you can put a tracker on facebook the answer has always been NO. Well times are a changing.
I just wanted to report that profiletracker is now offering a facebook tracker. I do have a facebook but its pretty private so I have not used it. I would love to hear feedback on the tracker as far as facebook goes. If its anything like how their myspace tracker is then its gotta be good.

has anybody else noticed that when you check a profile through hits, that a low number of results returns? for example, when i check my profile, it states that i have 22 top friends when i actually have 40. comments numbers are low too, as opposed to being like say, 25/432. anyone have any idea why this occuring when i check profiles through hits? thanks!

Well here are a few things you can do to remedy all that!:

If you have a gmail did you know that you can see who is looking on your gmail. You can access the last 5 IP's that logged into that account. If you look at the very bottom of your gmail you will see this:

once you click on "Details" it will take you to a screen like this:

We have a new code, it can auto-identify anyone logged into myspace correctly. Also can show where your visitors were before your page, and where they click off your page.
These codes often don't last long, as myspace doesn't like them, so if you want it, here's your chance.
It's part of a new promotion, existing members can find a link in the stats page. If any non-members have questions about it, I can try to answer them here.
