Thanks heaps. I have W7 and an Acer Iconia Tab purchased in late 2011. I do have the System Config screen but there was no Acer Warranty program under Startup or anywhere else but sure enough there was a program called Acer Registration which when uninstalled, fixed the problem. So bizarre that Acer would still have this annoying problem after so long and on multiple hardware platforms.
