Have you ever had to send a friend a large file and there was just no way to do it. Have you ever tried to send a file and your email serviced bounced it simply because of the type of file (the extension). I know I have ran into this quite a few times. I try and share a family video with a friend and its to large to email - to long for youtube. Yeah I have sent it over file sharing on Windows Live Messenger but there are times it could take hours. So what do you do? Well there are a number of services that will help you with that. Here is a list of file sharing sites that will handle larger files:
Box.net 2large2email
Rapidshare Senduit
drop.io Flyupload
Filedropper Mediafire
Wikisend DivShare
MailBigFile Driveway
Send6 Yousendit
Zshare FileSavr
OK the nice folks at TechCrunch did a comparison of the sites above - including a graph
*love that*
16 Apps That Make Sharing Large Files A Snap

Now if you check out the story they do a blurp on each of the download sites. I would love to hear if anyone has used any of them. I can tell you that I have used Rapidshare a number of times and I have been really happy with their service.
