Well after Facebook had to face off with Canada over privacy issues (that broke Canadian Laws) facebook has agreed to make some security changes worldwide. Some of the security changes will be seen in the way that the third party applications and games are handled, what information they will see. Also in the past when you wanted to cancel your account you couldn't delete it only deactivate it. Now you will be able to choose between deactivating it or deleting it. You can read more about it here:

Facebook tightens safeguards after Canada talks

The assistant commissioner who negotiated with Facebook, Elizabeth Denham, said her office had been alarmed by the lack of safeguards applied to the more than one million developers of third-party applications around the world.

"The notion that some teenager working in a basement halfway around the globe could have access to all this personal information was unsettling, to say the least," Denham said.

When the laws will take affect and the changes will be made I dunno. Currently when you go to play a game you still are asked if you want to "allow" them to see all of your information
