Well why not you have every other doll out there so American Girl introduced Gwen Thompson. She is a little different from the other dolls see she is Homeless. Ok at a price tag of $95.00 its kinda a joke but this is not. Oh don't worry she comes with book too so she can explain why she is homeless....

See Poor Gwen her daddy walked out on her and her mommy, her mommy lost her job and they became homeless and when winter came along they had to start living in their car. OK seriously this is the message we want to share with our kids? I mean yeah daddy's are the bad guys here and well mom can't get a job so we live in out car. Way to go American Girls in giving the little girls something to look up to.

Really when you think about it the possibility are endless. We could soon have prostitute doll, crack addict doll, teen pregnancy doll. Hey maybe they could make a Maury Povich doll so we can have a who's your dolls baby's daddy. Oh yeah way to go American Girl
