Re: Solid State Drive (SSD) vs Hybrid Hard Drive (HHD)

I'd love to get a SSD but yes the cost is just way to high! If you really want speed you can look at getting a 10,000 rpm drive. The prices of those are finally starting to drop. But imo the price of regular hard drives have gotten so dang cheap it's hard to spend 150.00 bucks on a 76gig 10k drive or who knows how much on a ssd drive when I can get a 1tb drive for a fraction of the cost. I actually have 2 36gig 10k raptors sitting collecting dust. I was goign to raid the 2 but come to find out a few years back when i bought my system board it only had an external raid controler. No on board Sad So I siad screw it and just got a 750giger instead for the space.
