I takes only a few seconds to format a 750G GoFlex seagate disk
Super program.!!!!
I needed to format a drive for my son so he can use it on his PS3, the PS3 requires a drive formatted to FAT32. I used the command: format .FS/FAT32 X: on the drive, it is a 500GB. After waiting for it fo finish after about 6 hours it still came bask as NSFS???? How do I fix this so it will format it to fat32, this laptop (my old one) is Windows 7, my new one is Windows 8. I figure if Windows 7
won't do it, the WIndow 8 sure won't??? Any ideas??
Download the fat32format program. It works fabulous see also my post of the 9 th of this month.
Hi MrWildone42!! if the fat32format program doesn't work be sure to give acronis Acronis Disk Director a try, it has never failed me! I use it all the time for many things!
fat32format couldn't find my external drive to format... so I did another search and found that the easiest way to format a big drive to FAT32 is just to use a Mac... the Disk Utility program that comes standard on a Mac will use FAT32 if you specify "MSDOS" - and NOT ExFat. Takes seconds.
Fat32Format just took 5 seconds to format my weird Adata 500 GB on Win 7! very nice!
After formating my WD My Passport 500GB to Fat32 with Acronis Acronis Disk Director - my PS3 does not recognize it. Flash Drive
- no problem, but exHDD - no.
