Has anyone read the newest Wikileaks stuff that's supposed to be revealing and dangerous?

I haven't read any of it yet either. For some reason I don't have much interest. I'll let everyone else read it all and sum it all up for me, Laughing.

What I don't get is how it even made it's way onto Wikileaks in the first place ... it was all over the news for days that there was going to be "dangerous and embarrassing information released on Wikileaks at any time now" ... forgetting the embarrassing (and pathetic) lack of security on how the data was stolen to begin with, the U.S Government doesn't have the ability to *cough* "secretly" *cough* DDoS the Hell out of the Wikileaks site, keeping it knocked offline before it even was able to be added and/or seen by the rest of the world? C'mon now ... high school kids know how to DDoS and otherwise take over/take out websites ...

Even now "they" could be doing it to at least do some "damage control" ...

"Wisdom cannot be given unless someone asks for it and shows a readiness to receive it."

YES that what I think would have been the smart think to do too, but maybe the US Govt was too worried about doing something illegal Laughing

Looks like your not the only person to think a DDOS is a good idea, read these articles: Washington Post, V3.co.uk, and this article is really interesting too about the Wikileaks site owner having to go into hiding like Salman Rushdie. I wonder if he now think it was worth it. Smile

Re: WikiLeaks' latest news....

You know, this whole WikilLeaks incident really makes us think hard about the role of IT security in business and government. In this case, it appears that just one person was able to violate organizational policies and leak such vast amounts of information. Anyway, let’s hope something like this doesn’t happen again.

This link is quite pertinent to the whole wikileaks issue and national security. It is actually very threatening to see how the people from your enterprise itself leak your confidential information. Well we can only raise our voice against the whole incident which is happening.
