Re: What's A Good Free Virus Program?

I use the Free version of Comodo Internet Security. it has an antivirus in it. I havent done any battle testing how it compares with all the others antiviruses but I havent had a virus since around 1997, and that was just because I was being daring on a file I knew was prob a virus and ran it anyway, Laughing.

We have a couple of great threads on anti-virus / anti-MalwareMalwarebytes Anti-virus / Anti-malware here, here and here's our category on it.

Shhh.. dont tell anyone, but we also have a private forum area with the really good stuff, wanna see?

When I got the WoW acct back I was talking to service for Blizzard and they think it was the client used to auto update my addons that did it. I just erased it, but no virus was ever picked up before or after. Not sure if its still on the puter or not. Norton is usually pretty good about finding stuff. I figure the largest company should be the most up to date, yadda yadda yadda.
But at this point, this old laptop can't even play wow anymore. haha

haha. Yea, Norton is good too, it's become such a hog though. So bloated, and runs so much ish that it eats away so much memory and slows down your pc, which is even worse for old one's. I try to find good solid, but "lean" av's for my own pc's.

Which wow update client were you using?

Really? I use the same one, and haven't had mine stolen. (afaik, I haven't logged into Wow in years for the most part)

It's been so long I can't even remember, when you make any major acct changes for WoW, don't they email ya some sort of confirmation notice?

Also, how'd ya get your Facebook acct back so quick? I keep hearing nightmares about people never hearing back from Facebook support about their stolen Facebook accounts? Ya have to send them a pic of you or anything, to get it verified it was yours?

I just went on Facebook followed the step by step directions to change password and it was pretty much fixed instantly. Maybe I caught it before it was flagged spam. That's how I got my wow account fixed so quick.

I use Avast! Free. I love it. I run MalwareBytesMalwarebytes Anti-virus / Anti-malware and Superantipsyware about once a month to make sure nothing slipped through. I haven't had any problems in quite some time. I also use Comodo Firewall but not the same full product that Dogg uses.
