Niiiice. People who caught it oohed and aaahhed at the beautiful show of light in the sky.

At 9:40 p.m. EDT (0140 GMT) Wednesday from Madison, Wisconsin, Abe Megahed photographed the trail made when the space shuttle Discovery dumped waste water. Credit: Abe Megahed

But it was merely the astronauts dumping their water and urine waste. When they dump it -- and this time it was a large amount (about 150lbs Sick )-- it freezes and then the sun hits it making it shine.

Laughing i know right?
Speaking of pretty i stumbled across these pictures taken back in May just released by NASA the other day. The album is called "looking at heaven"...and they are gorgeous!
If you like what you see and want more, go to nasa's hubble star picture album here there are many other photos available that are just as, if not more, awe-inducing.

I heard it included more than just urine. What I wanna know is what a couple of astronauts have to be eatin to have 150 lbs worth of "waste water". Guess they stopped feedin them freeze dried ice cream and Tang. Lotta ruffage.

At least we've now solved what a UFO really is. Wink

The $150 Edge-of-Space Camera: MIT Students Beat NASA On Beer-Money Budget

See you have to love not only the beauty of this picture but how it was taken. Some MIT students, a balloon, a regular camera and a cell phone (for the GPS purpose) and a 8GB memory card oh and don't forget the beer cooler that housed it all (love it). Yeah that is one of those that that NASA for a $150. our pictures are just as good.

"The picture you see above was shot from around 93,000 feet, just shy of 18 miles high. It’s short of the widely-accepted Kármán line, which is at 100km (62 miles) up, but it’s in the stratosphere, and it’s still impressive. To give you an idea of how high that is, when the balloon burst, the beer-cooler took 40 minutes to come back to Earth."

Wow! i love that those students did that! What a great idea!! See...sometimes you just have to think outside the box...
Wonder if some of those students would like a job at NASA, i'm sure they'd love to hire them!
