Cheers everyone. Been a lurker here for quite some time and always enjoy the unique questions and answers!
I have a problem myself now, that I can't find any solution for after a good 2 days of Google searching.
I was trying to add a second monitor to my development VMWare machine (Windows 10 64-Bit) and no luck there, so I had read that using VirtualBox makes adding second monitors a piece of cake, and wanted to try converting my VMWare Dev machine over to VirtualBox's format. I read that VirtualBox can import .OVF into it's own format, so I tried to use the "export to OVF" menu item in VMWare, but as the title says... it's grayed out!
Does anyone have any idea how I can resolve this? I'll forever be in your dept!
Hi StarDogg
Actually yes. That's part of the problem. I need to have the virtual machine show 2 actual devices, so I guess I'll tackle that problem some time in the near future.
But yes, it wouldn't detect a second monitor, but I chose some option where it "tries to connect using VGA". Doing that allowed it to show 2 displays, but when running Nirsoft Multiple Monitors tool it still only shows 1 monitor.
Give this a shot:
I could KISS you right now!!!!
I've been tugging my hair out for 2 DAYS on this! That did it!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
hehehe. np.
I've been using VMWare for so many years now I know it like the back of my hand. Enjoy!

Per chance, did you manage to add a second monitor to the virtual machine? i.e. in Display Settings you see "2" displays, but only 1 actual Monitor Device showing in Device Manager?
