I've heard round the campfire that iOS5 has been released, and there were some troubles with installations, etc., anyone get it installed and got to use it at all yet? I'm curious to know if it held up to all the hoopla and hubbub? Cool new features? Improvements in old ones, and such?
I upgraded the kid's iPad. It seems pretty nice so far. No problems other than it took a long time. I like the notifications as does she. I heard it's faster but I can't tell which is to say it already felt fast so no loss.

I have installed it on my 2 iPads and my iTouch. The first cause me some problems as I kept getting failure messages. I tried everything including a restore of my iPad and still received the error. Suddenly it worked and I was baffled at the sudden cause of it working. Later when playing with it so see the changes I found an article on the net that so many people hit the Apple servers at the same time that they became overloaded causing the failure messages. So I needlessly did the restores, etc. It was just by chance that it finally completed the upgrade. The next day I upgraded my 2nd iPad and the iTouch with no further problems. Apple apparently fixed their problems. I would imagine that it is still possible now to hit the server and find that it is bogged down and may fail mainly because of the volume of people doing the upgrade. So if you run into a problem, just be persistant and keep trying. As for the changes, I am not seeing a whole lot to rave about.
