So are you maybe a shy guy and in need of a quick pick up line? Well there is a app for that - oh yeah there is. Get this its by AMP (Pepsi Cola) and wooo are the women upset with it.
Pepsi iPhone app falls flat among women
PepsiCo Inc. is facing criticism for an iPhone application that promises to help men "score" with two dozen stereotypes of women by giving users pickup lines and a scoreboard to keep track of their conquests.
An apology by the company - which is using the app "Amp up before you score" to market its Amp energy drink - is igniting more online criticism. But the company is sticking by the app.
Spokeswoman Nicole Bradley said the application is available only to people 17 and older who "choose to opt in to the experience."
"The application was designed to entertain and appeal to Amp's target. We'll continue to monitor the feedback from all parties and act accordingly," she said.
The free application, released in the last week, was still available Wednesday morning.
Since this is a Geek / Nerd type of site let me tell you what it says for us women, our pick up line: "Wasn't I in Space Academy with you?" Oh yeah can't wait to tell my son about this app, hey it could help him with the ladiesssssssss (NOT).

PepsiCo is removing the iPhone application that promised to help men "score" with different types of women about a week after it was criticized for stereotyping.
The soft drink and snack maker said in a statement it decided discontinuing the application was the "most appropriate course of action" after listening to "a variety of audiences."
PepsiCo had recently launched the "Amp up before you score" application to promote its Amp energy drink.
The application gave users pickup lines to woo two dozen stereotypes of women, from "the nerd" to "the foreign exchange student" and a scoreboard to keep track of their conquests.
Wonder if it had my old standy .. "nice boots, wanna fk?". Works every time.
