Well I guess Michael Vick found a new home in the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles signed him for a one year contract with an option for a second year.
If you can't remember who Michael Vick was he was the formerly with Atlanta Falcons when he was convicted and sent to federal Pen for animal abuse (dog fighting).
PETA released this statement:
"PETA and millions of decent football fans around the world are disappointed that the Eagles decided to sign a guy who hung dogs from trees. He electrocuted them with jumper cables and held them under water,†PETA spokesman Dan Shannon told The Associated Press.

Yeah I agree that PETA is overboard on most things I atleast like that they are reminding the public what a scumbag Vicks is. I never had anything against the Eagles (they were not on my non like football teams) but I do now. I think I can honestly say they took top rank (even over the Pats) in my dislike of teams.

It's times like this that I'm not proud to be from Georgia. I think Vick is an arse, and shouldn't be playing again.
Though I agree that I dislike PETA with a passion, but oh well. Wouldn't mind seeing them protest outside of the statium his first year back.

Well the general consensus here in the city is "another reason to boo passionately" We tend to LOVE to hate our teams. We love them when they win and hate them when they lose, or look bad, or it's too cold, or it's a full moon.... yeah *shrug* Love/hate relationships and Philly go way back.
I personally think it's a disgrace. And it's a difficult decision on what to do.... Though there's also been some talk that maybe they sent him to the right place... I mean we have boo'ed Santa, and threw ice balls at him.... so maybe this is his punishment. You don't wanna be on the wrong end of a drunken Philadelphia sports crowd. Did I mention we were the first ever stadium to have a jail cell inside the stadium? Read more about the "NestofDeath" and the occurrences of it here. I was just going to post about this. One more good reason to hate the Eagles I guess. And I bet the Eagles QB Donovan McNabb isn't too thrilled about his team signing Vick, either.
