I followed the directions put when I pressed enter on the command propt after typing format /FS:FAT32 F:
it showed me: " `format` is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."

what should I do?

format.com is a DOS program, maybe your computer doesn't have that program on it for some reason. Easiest way is just to use either Acronis Disk DirectorDisk Director or Fat32Format
