 They might not all be online.  Three isn't to bad.  It can also matter if your showing connectable or not.  What speed are you downloading at (adverage)?

I'm downloading two movies- One has three seeds, one has 7. I'd say they're both averging around 40 kb/s

That is not to bad (speed of 40).  I try and limit my downloads to a max of 4 or 5.  I generally have 2 or 3 going at once.

 yeah well 500 was wicked fast and my fastest download yet - it was also a private torrent site that tends to be fast.  But you can see from my examples up top they are not always fast and some times slowwwwwwwwwwwwww
